Overview
We designed and built the website for Hotel Origen, a boutique hotel in a 16th-century colonial house in Santo Domingo. The editorial, minimalistic design, organic color palette, ample white space and sharp typography all lead to a premium browsing experience, guided by a unique first-person narrative.
We developed the website for Hotel Origen, a boutique hotel housed within a 16th-century colonial property in the heart of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The digital project We designed the digital project during the architectural restoration of the space, ensuring a seamless alignment with its upcoming opening.
Building upon the visual identity we also crafted for the brand, we created a sober, modern, and clean web platform. The site's color palette was extracted directly from the construction materials and the local terrain. The layout adopts a distinctly editorial, minimalist, and contemporary approach, featuring a modular block structure that prioritizes white space and visual storytelling. By carefully balancing big serif fonts, precise layouts, and sharp photo blocks, we created a browsing experience that is both visually striking and easy to navigate.
The site's architecture comprises seven pages designed to articulate the hotel's comprehensive experience: from its historical value and physical spaces to the cultural offerings of Santo Domingo. A key pillar of the project is its content strategy; the narrative is written in the first person, allowing the house itself to welcome users, tell its story, and invite them to experience it.
